What Do the Flyers Say?

Update: I was originally planning on putting the Flyers' input regarding the jersey switch here but there was a change of plans. Even though they had issued a statement on their website in May of 2001, they do not wish to deal with the issue any further. Not only will they not be offering any text regarding the jersey change special for this page but they will not be offering up the original statement that was posted on their website in May. They are simply not interested in going into it anymore.

So I guess I'm on my own here, unless I choose to make this site more than what it currently is, for the Flyers have been nice enough to offer up any other bits of information I'd like to put up here regarding current events that have to do with the team. Unfortunately, this site deals with one subject, the jerseys. It is not the usual fan site, complete with message boards, chats, and stats on last night's game. It's just a simple site that's been put up so people can vote on their favorite jersey color.

You may see other jersey related items on this page in the future but as for anything non-related, you will not see it here. There are plenty of quality fan sites out there for you to visit. I hope to have as many of them sharing links with me soon as I can.

In summary, what the Flyers are saying at this stage is nothing. This jersey change was over 2 years in the making and we only got to find out about it in the last few months. Now they say it's too late to bother thinking about it. Well, if I'd known about the decision to change the jersey color since the decision was made, over 2 years ago, I would have had this site up long ago.
